Marina Beach

The most famous place in Chennai is that marina.Marina Beach is a natural urban beach in the city of Chennai.second longest beach in the world.
Marina beach is a major tourist attraction of the city. People visiting Chennai make a point to visit the beach. It is also the main place for the local people to escape from the summer heat. The beach is popular for its shops and food stalls run by about 500 shops run by about 1,212 vendors. The memorials and statues, morning walk, joggers' track, lovers' spot, aquarium, and the like make it a hangout for people of all ages. Kite flying and beach cricket are common sports at the beach, and there are also facilities for pony rides. Beach cricket at the Marina dates back several decades. However, Chennai City Police has banned it at different points due to its interference with traffic and beach walkers. The sea is generally rough and waves are strong. There are fishermen colonies present at both ends of the beach. There are also joyrides, merry-go-rounds and mini giant wheels along the stretch, although they are installed without permission from any government agency.
In the morning time, the marina beach looks very beautiful. At that time people are doing their morning walking, jogging and children playing cricket and some other children do their scatting practice. In the months of November to January the entire marina cover by snow at the morning time. In that time the sunrise view will cannot tell. That looks very gorgeous.

Colourful madness when the sun goes down. Fairground rides I wouldn't let my kid go on. Shooting games and oodles of food and brightly colored items for sale. Gives a real sense of the buzz of Chennai.
It does not cost much to spend your time at the beach. And, don't forget to have the Burmese food and chili &onion bajjis(a south Indian snack) from the cart vendors at the beach

Mehrangarh

Standing tall, atop a 150-meter high hill at a distance of 5 km from the city of Jodhpur, the Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts in the country. It’s a grand structure that houses many palaces, temples and winding roads inside. In historical times it was a city on its own, enclosed within thick walls. The intricate carvings on palaces and temples reflect the fine taste of the royals and the expansive courtyards adjoining the palaces give a grand feel even today. Moti Mahal, the main palace houses the Sringar Chowki or the royal throne of Jodhpur. The Phool Mahal also deserves mention because of its gold filigree adorned ceilings. Apart from these, other noteworthy structures include the Rang Mahal and Chandan Mahal. There are other mansions like the Umaid Villa, Ajit Villa and the Maan Villa where one can see famous Rajput miniature paintings, musical instruments, royal attires and other things belonging to the royal family members. The fort was constructed in 1459 by Rao Jodha, at a time when he transferred his capital to Jodhpur from Mandore. More additions were done by subsequent rulers of Jodhpur as time passed. Peek into the tumultuous life of the Rajput women at the site of funeral pyre where they committed Jawahar or self-immolation.
